Drilling Progress Continues at SRSNE

It has now been over one month of drilling and installation of the in-situ thermal remediation wells. The team is working hard and doing a great job and currently on schedule. Again, one can see the well pairs, which consist of an electrically powered heater well and a vapor extraction well. Installed to date: 201 Heater Wells (HO), 199 Vapor Extraction Wells (VEW), 25 Temperature Monitoring Points (TMP), and 20 Pressure Monitoring Points (PMP).

Drilling continues. The vapor extraction wells are located approximately 3 feet from the electrically powered heater wells. In addition the team is installing Temperature Monitoring Points and Pressure Monitoring Points. To date we’ve installed: 109 Heater Wells (HO), 105 Vapor Extraction Wells (VEW), 9 Temperature Monitoring Points (TMP), and 9 Pressure Monitoring Points (PMP). Also, note the air monitor in the foreground.
In-situ Thermal Remediation – Drilling Begins

Boart Longyear begins drilling in-situ thermal remediation (ISTR) wells, which consist of electrically powered heater wells and vapor extraction wells. Installed to date: 24 Heater Wells (HO), 24 Vapor Extraction Wells (VEW), 1 Temperature Monitoring Point (TMP), and 1 Pressure Monitoring Point (PMP).
